Percussion Discussion Africa is a Ugandan ensemble dedicated to sharing the country's diverse drumming traditions through performance, education, and cultural exchange. Bringing together skilled percussionists, dancers, and cultural educators, the group presents programs that explore the role of rhythm in community life across Uganda.
Their performances feature traditional drums, songs, dance, and audience participation, offering insight into the cultural contexts in which these traditions developed. In addition to concerts, the ensemble leads workshops and educational residencies for schools, universities, and community organizations, encouraging participants to experience African percussion through hands-on learning. Percussion Discussion Africa creates performances that are engaging, informative, and rooted in the living traditions of Ugandan music.
